American Heart Association BLS Provider Blended Training – medical level CPR/AED certification training. This American Heart Association BLS course provides medical level certification for those employed in the medical field. This course is ideal for physicians, nurses, respiratory, physical and occupational therapists, firefighters / EMS, CNA’s or anyone going to school for a medical or emergency related occupation.
This Blended course is a combination of individual online computer study followed by a 1.5 hour skill session with a CPRColorado.com AHA certified instructor. To enroll in the AHA BLS Blended training, the student will access the online portion of the course through the American Heart Association website. CLICK HERE Instruction information and fees for the online portion of the class will be through the American Heart Association. The student will study the materials independently on a personal computer. The online materials include an online course book, videos, and review questions. Students typically complete the course materials in 2-3 hours. On successful completion of the written test, an AHA certificate will be provided to the student indicating that the student is ready to complete the skills portion of the course. Then the student may access the CPRColorado.com Registration Page to enroll in a Skills Session. The student will select a listed date to schedule a skills session to complete the certification. The student may also call, email, or text CPRColorado.com to determine if special scheduling is available. The course completion certificate must be presented to the CPRColorado.com instructor at the skills session.
Course content includes:
- High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
- Use of an AED
- Effective ventilations using a barrier device
- Importance of teams in multi-rescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team during multi-rescuer CPR
- Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants
American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers certificate valid for two years.
